LWC Drinks, the UK’s largest independent drinks wholesaler is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Hills Prospect, the largest independent drinks distributor in London and the South East.
Marking the latest step in the wholesaler’s mission and commitment to provide its customers with the best service possible, wherever they are, the partnership will see the two businesses join forces to leverage their individual strengths and build an even stronger service proposition for customers in London and the South East.
Under the new partnership, the synergy of the two businesses will:
- Create a ‘best-in-class’ independent route-to-market network across London and the South East.
- Allow for a better service reach without compromising existing customer service-levels.
- Provide current and new customers with an unrivalled portfolio of products, including access to LWC’s exclusive Signature Wine and Brand ranges.
- Strengthen the overall offering of both businesses in London and the South East.

The acquisition of Hills Prospect will mark LWC’s 18th site in the UK and follows the recent openings of two new LWC depots to serve London and the South East, LWC Aylesbury and LWC Andover, and a third in the North, LWC Doncaster.
The opening of these new depots lays down a solid platform for the future of the LWC business, enhancing their distribution capabilities, enabling them to meet customer demand, and ensures they can successfully deliver their strategic customer partnerships. This customer centric growth strategy allowed LWC to turnover over £500 million in their last financial year, and this investment programme will ensure LWC continues to deliver the widest range of drinks that meet the nation’s ever-changing tastes.
