Flexible Pricing Model

Unispace’s pricing model is able to adapt to your needs. While creating a cloud server you can specify both the amount of resources that will be reserved and/or dynamically allocated to handle all of the incoming requests during load peaks. Use Reserved and Dynamic cloudlets together and be prepared for all unexpected surges in application demands whilst cutting your cloud TCO.

When you use Dynamic cloudlets, the hourly price varies as you pay only for what you really use. For example, if during the night time you have fewer website visitors, you pay less compared to the busier daytime.

Besides, you can pay a flat fixed price if you don’t expect huge traffic spikes. You can configure the amount of reserved resources (Reserved Cloudlets) and pay a fixed fee for them. Reserved cloudlets are cheaper than dynamic ones (up to 32%), so it is a good option for additional cost savings. However, you always pay for the same number of reserved cloudlets, even if you use fewer resources.

It is possible to combine both pricing options together, i.e. use both reserved and dynamic cloudlets, or use them separately for different types of workloads.

For example, you created a server with 2 Reserved cloudlets (256 MiB RAM & 800 MHz CPU) and set a maximum limit of 32 Dynamic Cloudlets (4 GiB RAM & 12,8 GHz CPU). This configuration will cost you: from € 2.9 to € 53.3 / month.

  • if you use 2 cloudlets or fewer, you pay for 2 cloudlets based on your discounted Reserved cloudlets price.
  • if you use e.g. 20 cloudlets, you pay for 2 cloudlets based on the Reserved price (as they are already allocated) and for 18 cloudlets based on the Dynamic price.

Questions About Pricing?

How does pricing work?

We only charge for the resources your environment uses. The costs are divided between 4 simple resources:

  •       RAM and CPU

From € 2.12 ( 0.0029 €/ hour) per month to € 2.85 (0.0039 €/ hour) for a reserved cloudlet. From € 2.26 ( 0.0031 €/ hour) per month to € 2.99 (0.0041 €/ hour) for a dynamic cloudlet.  Each cloudlet, either reserved or dynamic, equals to 128 MB & 400 MHz. The more cloudlets you consume or reserve, the less you pay for each cloudlet.

  •       Disk Usage

0.14 € per GB per month (0.000188 €/hour).

  •       Network traffic

From 0.0099 to 0.03 € per GB. The first 1 GB of external traffic every hour are free, as well as all internal traffic between servers.

  •       Public IP address

4.5 € per month (0.0062 €/hour)

How am I billed?

You are billed hourly. And you pay based on the actual hourly usage.

What method of payments do you accept?

We accept payments in Euros (€). You can pay with any credit and debit cards, Postpay invoicing, bank transfer or even PayPal.

How to define a maximum budget for my project?

Unispace is remarkable transparent about its pricing rates. You can define a maximum possible budget for your project by setting up a number of cloudlets for each server on the Scaling Limit slider in Unispace’s dashboard. Price estimation calculator will show your approximate price immediately.

What is Cloudlet?

Cloudlet is a special measurement unit, which includes 128 MiB of RAM and 400 MHz of CPU power simultaneously.

There are two types of cloudlet at Unispace PaaS:

  • Reserved Cloudlets are reserved in advance and will be charged irrespective of your actual resource usage. In exchange, you’ll get significant automatic discounts based on their number.
  • Dynamic Cloudlets are added & removed automatically according to the amount of resources that is required by your application in a particular moment of time (assigned when load goes up and removed as soon as it drops down). As a result, you pay based on your actual resource usage.

The granularity of the cloudlets makes it possible to allocate a number of resources that precisely fits your current needs and will scale with your project respectively.

Can I cancel my account?

Yes you can cancel at any time as there is no minimum contract term.
